There are a lot of good utilities and programs available to make your computing experience better. Many of these programs are freeware or shareware. Some are trial programs and if you like them, you must pay for them after the trial period ends to continue using the program. We have listed some of our favorites below.

     We highly recommend this one along   with Ad-Aware. The two programs working together seem to provide a good anti spyware solution.

     The free version is great. For extra security, you may want to consider their paid version.

     This is a Beta testing program. That means there may be bugs and it should be used with caution. We have found that the program is very aggressive in detecting and removing spyware.

    This program is highly rated and in widespread use in Europe. Their web site has a free on line virus checker. The company is attempting to gain market in the United States and is offering the software at bargain prices. It works well and the updates are frequent. We are also resellers for this program and our pricing is discounted from the on line price.

    Norton Anti Virus by Symantec is and excellent product. Their website also helps with viruses you may encounter and offers methods to rid your system of them. We also are resellers for this product.

    This program is required to view some web content. If you don't have it, here is a link to it. The program is free and is an industry standard.

    You can download this popular utility and try it for free. After the trial period you are asked to pay for continuing to use the program.

    These programs by IP Switch are not free. They work well and are cost effective. There are free ftp programs available but we like this one.

    This software can be used to connect to AOL instant messenger, Yahoo messenger and MSN messenger all at the same time. No need to have multiple programs running.

    This program is free for personal use. It downloads and conducts a complete inventory on your computer giving you information on all your hardware and software including the product installation keys should you have lost the original.

    This program is a way of monitoring your child's computer from another computer if you have a home network.

    Logmein.com has a great remote connectivity program to connect to your office. It is firewall friendly and very secure.

    This site has a lot of good programs to download. We use it ourselves to download many common utilities and useful tools. Be sure you know what you are downloading. A lot of programs have very similar names.
